The recent study done by PEW was depressing, to put it lightly. It concluded that Catholics and protestants know less about the faith than some atheist. In other news, this past Monday marked the 48th anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Council. Those may seem like 2 very different directions, but I think they could work together. We must fight for the real message of Vatican II and promote the principle duty of the council… : The defense and advancement of Truth.

I am always annoyed by people who say that young adults do not want to be bored with deeper level stuff. The Catholic Church’s history is full of such richness in intellectual and cultural traditions, we have the duty to learn as much as we can. Whenever we have our events, I hope that we always teach some small thing from the vast ocean of theological depth from our history and today. There is still so much to learn for all of us. Join our community at any event you are able to attend, and invite others to join too. We need to tell everyone we can about Jesus and also about His Church.
